OPD

  • OPDs are on the ground floor of the hospital.

  • The OPD timing starts from 8:00 am till 10:00 pm

  • The appointment for desired consultants can be booked on telephone. The telephone lines open from 8:00am for same day appointment.

  • There is a procedure room on ground floor for minor OPD procedures, sample collection. Injections etc.

  • Billing for OPD procedures and consultations are done on ground floor reception counter for a patient’s convenience.

IPD

ADMISSION REGISTRATION FOR DIRECT PATIENTS

Patients referred by outside doctors or directly seeking admission can get their registration done at first floor reception counter for general wards/ second class or first class rooms. —AND– At the office on the second floor for admission in ICCU/super deluxe/deluxe/ semi deluxe or sharing rooms.

REGISTRATION PROCESS IS FULLY COMPUTERISED, HENCE REQUESTED TO PROVIDE CORRECT AND VALID PATIENT’S INFORMATION WHILE MAKING ADMISSION REGISTRATION.

ONCE REGISTRATION DONE, PATIENT GETS A PERMANENT IP NO., WHICH CAN BE REFERRED IN FUTURE IF FURTHER HOSPITALISATION REQUIRED.

A written consent is mandatorily documented for all routine medical and surgical patients.

Requirements for registration for medical and surgical patients.

  • Reference letter (if any) from outside doctors.

  • At the time of admission a deposit is taken from all patients, the deposit varies according to the class of admission and will be informed at the time of admission.

Requirements for registration for Insurance patients.

  • Patient’s Photo ID proof. (Copy of Passport/ Adhar card/ Pan Card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ School ID/ college ID/ Employee ID)

  • Patient’s Photo ID proof. (Copy of Passport/ Adhar card/ Pan Card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ School ID/ college ID/ Employee ID)

  • Current year policy papers (In certain cases previous years policy papers may be required by the insurance companies, kindly keep them readily available.)

  • At the time of admission a refundable security deposit is taken from all patients, the deposit varies according to the class of admission and will be informed at the time of admission. This deposit amount is refunded once the final payment is received by the hospital, after adjusting the deduction of non payable items and any co-payment by patient.

Patient/ relative should inform about the type of room they want to get admission in, at the time of registration.

DISCHARGE/ TRANSFER/ DAMA (Discharge Against Medical Advice)

  • Hospital check out time is 12:00 noon. Normally no additional bed charge is levied if patient leaves by 2:00 pm, else the next day charge is applicable.

  • Once patient is discharged from consultant’s side, a detailed discharge card is given, along with details of on discharge medicines and next follow up with the doctor.

  • In case of transfer to some higher centre, a detail transfer summary is given to the patient’s relative, and also ambulance is arranged for safe transportation of the patient.

  • If patient or relative/s want discharge against doctor’s advice, then patient can be discharged after accepting a written consent that, hospital or doctors will not be responsible if the condition of the patient deteriorates after taking patient home.

Billing and payment

  • Once patient is discharged, billing can be done on first floor for General ward/ Second class and first class patients and on second floor for ICCU/deluxe and sharing room patients respectively.

  • The deposit amounts are adjusted against the final bill amount and print out of the final settled bill with all details is given.

  • The print out of the bill is shown to the nursing in charge of the ward to collect the discharge card and relieve the patient.

Billing and payment for insurance patients

  • For TPA patients, if final approval is confirmed then patient can be relieved after some paper work procedures.

  • Non payable expenses/ items, not covered under insurance are collected from patients.

Some Do’s and Don’ts for IPD patients

  • Requested to adhere to the visiting hours,
    Morning: 11:00 am to 01:00pm
    Evening: 05:00 pm to 07:00pm

  • Collect visiting passes from second floor office

  • One relative should be present 24/7 with the patient.

  • Don’t bring coconut shell inside the hospital premises, rather bring the coconut water in plastic polythene.

  • Children under 12 years are not allowed in the hospital to visit patient.

  • Do not bring valuable things and too much cash in the hospital, in case of any loss, hospital will not be responsible.

  • Do not smoke,chew tobacco and spit inside the hospital area.

  • All the patients are served with break-fast from the hospital, so don’t bring break-fast for patients.

  • Bring home made meals for lunch at 12:00 noon and dinner at 7:00pm to avoid delay in patient’s medication.
